Palccoyo Mountain, located in the Cusco region, is a lesser-known but equally impressive alternative to the famous Rainbow Mountain. Palccoyo offers a more accessible and peaceful experience, allowing visitors to explore three colorful mountains on a less demanding hike. With vibrant shades of red, green, and yellow, this geological area was formed by the presence of minerals in the soil. The surrounding landscape includes rock forests, grazing llamas and alpacas, and panoramic views of the Andes. It is ideal for those who want a less crowded experience while still marveling at the region's unique colors.
