Itinerary

Pickup will be at Plazoleta Regocijo from 7:10 to 7:20 a.m. We will then begin our journey to Hidroeléctrica. The drive will take approximately 6 hours. During the journey, we will appreciate breathtaking landscapes, passing through the heights of the Abra Málaga to the edge of the Santa María and Santa Teresa jungle. There, we will stop for lunch and then continue to Hidroeléctrica. From this point, we will begin a 2.5-hour hike, following the train tracks, to reach the town of Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes, you will have dinner and spend the night.

Today we will visit the wonder of the world, Machu Picchu. After breakfast, we will take the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. We will try to arrive at the ruins in time for sunrise, and then begin our guided tour of approximately two hours. We will visit the main sites. We will then walk back to Hidroeléctrica, where a vehicle will be waiting for us to return to Cusco. We will arrive in Cusco around 10:00 p.m.
